Rand Paul to Headline T-Bones & Politics Event Saturday for Manny Sethi

U.S. Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) will join U.S. Senate candidate Manny Sethi at this weekend’s T-Bones and Politics event.

Organizers have scheduled the event for 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday at The Shed at 4707 Lascassas Pike, in Lascassas.

This, according to a press release that Sethi’s campaign sent to the media Friday. The T-Bones and Politics website also advertises and sells tickets for the event.

As The Tennessee Star reported last month, Paul endorsed Sethi to replace the retiring U.S. Sen. Lamar Alexander (R-TN).

Paul praised Sethi in the press release.

“Dr. Manny Sethi is the true conservative in this race, and that’s why I am supporting him,” Paul said. “Come join us to meet Tennessee’s next Senator.”

Sethi, in the same press release, said he was “grateful that one of America’s leading conservatives has endorsed me.”

“I look forward to meeting Tennesseans who are looking to elect a conservative outsider to the Senate and draining the swamp of career insiders,” he said.

Former State Rep. Joe Carr founded T-Bones & Politics more than 10 years ago for Constitutional Conservatives. Past speakers include TV commentator Dick Morris, former Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, FOX News commentator Judge Jeanine Pirro, and The Politichicks, according to T-Bones & Politics’ website.

As The Star reported, the list of people who have endorsed Sethi include Memphis-based Varsity Spirit founder Jeff Webb and former Congressmen John J. Duncan Jr.

“I do not want this country to become like Seattle, Minneapolis, or the countries all over the world that have fallen for the myths of socialism,” Duncan said in a statement on Sethi’s Facebook page.

“Dr. Manny Sethi is an honest, sincere, intelligent conservative who has been taught by his legal immigrant parents to work hard and love and appreciate this country. Tennessee, and more importantly America, needs a man like Dr. Manny in the U.S. Senate.”

As  reported last month, former Congressman Zach Wamp also endorsed Sethi. Wamp served in the U.S. Congress, representing Tennessee’s Third District from 1995 through 2011. Also, as reported last month, former Congressman Ed Bryant endorsed Sethi’s candidacy. Bryant represented Tennessee in the U.S. House of Representatives and served as a magistrate judge for the Western District of Tennessee.
